At Blessed Margarita Foundation, we believe that innovation knows no boundaries. Iit can come from anyone, anywhere. Yet today, the opportunity to ideate, design, and create is largely reserved for those with access to formal education and urban innovation hubs. This leaves behind a vast population of talented children and youth in rural areas, informal sectors, and vocational institutions whose creativity remains untapped and unseen.
We envision a different future; one where underprivileged youth, school dropouts, vocational trainees, technicians, and casual workers are recognized as potential innovators and problem solvers. Through our STEM, innovation, skills, and employment, we aim to bridge this gap and create inclusive spaces for invention and discovery
Key pillars of our initiative include:
- Establishing a community-based innovation space where underserved youth and children can explore hands-on STEM learning, develop ideas, and build real-world solutions
- Organizing grassroots hackathons and maker challenges specifically for informal sector youth, vocational trainees, technicians, and casual workers to showcase their talents and co-create solutions.
- Offering mentorship, tools, and creative resources to help these innovators turn concepts into prototypes and sustainable ventures.
- Developing a digital platform that connects innovators / casual workers including those without formal education to part-time work, short-term contracts, and skills-based opportunities based on their talents and creations.
